ALPINE QUEST 2

Alpine Quest 2 is a women-led expedition crossing the Alps from France to Slovenia by bike. Across 1,500 kilometers, 45,000 meters of elevation gain and more than 30 mountain passes, the team will travel through four countries and document nine glaciers along the way.

More than an endurance challenge, the journey is a mobile observatory. In partnership with the University of Lausanne, CREALP and GMBA, the team will record changes in glaciers and alpine biodiversity, two sensitive indicators of a rapidly changing environment. Through sport, science and education, Alpine Quest 2 brings the realities of climate change out of the laboratory and into the landscape.
